  T-Mobile service has been fully restored following a major nationwide outage that began on July 27, 2026 , causing over 62,000 user reports on Downdetector and forcing many phones into SOS mode. Resolution: T-Mobile announced full service recovery for all customers late Monday night, with incident reports dropping back to normal baseline levels by Tuesday morning. Impact: Affected users nationwide experienced complete signal loss, mobile internet failures, and devices stuck in "SOS" mode. IOS 18 has been released

 9/6/24 IOS 18 has been released iOS 18 is the eighteenth and current major release of Apple's iOS operating system for the iPhone. It was announced on June 10, 2024, at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference. It was made publicly available on September 16, 2024, as a free software update for supported iOS devices. Apple released iOS 18 on Monday, along with 33 security fixes and a bunch of new iPhone features. Apple’s iOS 18 was issued at the same time as  iOS 17.7 , a security-only update for iPhone users who want to wait to upgrade their devices. While iOS 17.7 contains 16  security fixes , iOS 18 comes with over twice that number. Cell Tower Outage

February 22, 2024 AT&T said the hours long outage to its U.S. cellphone network Thursday appeared to be the result of a technical error, not a malicious attack. The outage  knocked out cellphone service  for thousands of its users across the U.S. starting early Thursday before it was restored. AT&T blamed the incident on an error in coding, without elaborating. “Based on our initial review, we believe that today’s outage was caused by the application and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network, not a cyber attack,” the Dallas-based company said. Outage tracker Downdetector noted that outages, which began at about 3:30 a.m. ET, peaked at around 73,000 reported incidents. AT&T had more than 58,000 outages around noon ET, in locations including Houston, Atlanta and Chicago. The carrier is the country’s largest, with more than 240 million subscribers.
